A major event. The show's in two parts. The
first features 45 minutes' worth of Galahad
favourites. There's then a short intermission followed by the piece
de resistance a live performance of Year
Zero in its entirety. Sound and video recordings of the show
are planned for possible inclusion in future projects.
The band are handling ticket sales themselves
for this gig (although a small number are now available from the venue).
Advance reservations are strongly recommended since numbers are strictly
limited. Prices are £6 in advance, £7 on the night. See
here for
how to buy but note that in order to save costs (bearing in
mind the already low charge), tickets will be made available for collection
from the venue (at the door) on the night of the show, rather than
being posted out beforehand. If you have any queries, just e-mail
.
Directions to this venue are available at www.mistersmiths.com.
Doors open 8ish, the band are on at 9.00pm.

[Afterword from Stu C: And a very raucous,
very sweaty (!), rip-roaring evening was had by all. The setlist from
this sell-out bash included: Sleepers,
Myopia, Bug
Eye, Lady Messiah followed
by what was euphemistically described as a "beer break"
then Year Zero itself (though
time constraints forced the odd snip here and there). Room
801 provided the encore.]
Gig promoted by the Classic
Rock Society (CRS). Venue is
the Herringthorpe Leisure Centre,
where Classic Rock
Live was recorded back in '95. Support act is Quecia.
Doors open 19:30. Tickets are £13 (£10 in advance for
CRS members), and can be obtained via the CRS ticket hotline on 01709
702575 (+44 1709 702575 if calling from outside the UK).
Directions to the venue are given on the 'CRS
Gig' page at http://classicrocksociety.com.
[Stu is also
pencilled in to do a solo spot at the CRS' social evening in The
Brecks pub the night before.]
A bigger local venue for the band than Mister
Smiths, Galahad are playing
here for the first time. The place will hold more people in a less
confined space, and gives extra scope for the pyrotechnics and what-not
that the band are planning to unleash during the evening!
Tickets are available at £6 in advance
from the band, though a number are available at the venue itself.
They'll be £7 on the night, but advance purchase is strongly
recommended. See here
for purchase options / details. If you have any queries, just email
.
Please note that all advance tickets will be
dispatched to purchasers by post BEFORE the gig, and that no tickets
can be reserved without prior payment!

This show forms part of the venue's 15th birthday
celebrations. Galahad are playing

that time.

The band have been confirmed for a slot on
the Sunday of this weekend orgy of British prog. Other acts in the
lineup include Pineapple Thief, Ray
Wilson and IQ.
Naturally, some of the new songs that have
been put together recently will get a good airing, along with a healthy
portion of the back catalogue that we know and love ;-)
All the details you need are on the festival's
own site at www.progsfest.com.
Weekend tickets are available now at £48, with days tickets
for the Saturday at £29 and for Sunday at £24.
Come see the new-look, new-sound Galahad
at home in Bournemouth.
In a break from tradition, advance tickets
won't be available for this gig you can just buy them on the
night instead. Doors should open around 8pm. If you're travelling
from afar to attend and want to make sure you get in, simply turn
up earlier!! There should be no problem.
The venue's website at www.mistersmiths.com
has directions, etc. ** [Which, at 14 Nov, wasn't working! Contact
info and a map is available here
instead.]
Says Stu Nicholson:
[The Green Room] is a compact but very
friendly venue and for the first time in a long time, ** it's
free admittance!! **
The idea is that we really want to get
out and play more (a gig is worth a half a dozen rehearsals!!) plus,
we have new material we'd like to try out.
Obviously we'd love to see you there!!
Venue contact details (including map) are available
here.
This is a joint bash with another raving Bournemouth-based act,
Fevertree.

will now perform a full evening's set. Buy tickets on the door. Contact
info and a map for the venue are available here.
The band played here earlier in the year, and
enjoyed it so much they're back again with another FREE bash.
Contact info and a map for the venue are available here.
This is looking like a fantastic day out, with Galahad
lined up alongside Magenta, Pineapple
Thief, Tr3nity, Also
Eden (who are organising the event) and Steve
Thorne.
A festival website, with venue details and ticket purchasing info,
is at www.summersend.co.uk.
